CBC Women’s Ministry is an active, growing, satisfying, God-glorifying feminine community within the local body of believers where every woman is valued, accepted and loved, and has opportunity to serve the Lord and share in His story with joy and freedom. Because we value God, His story, His people, and His world we will by the power of His Spirit GLORIFY GOD by . . .
- Growing together in our knowledge and love of God and His Word, responding in active faith, obedience, and worship.
- Acquainting women with CBC mission, values, articles of faith, and covenant.
- Promoting Biblical relationships through fellowship, mentoring, encouraging, helping, befriending, and counseling.
- Fulfilling God’s role for us in the home, church and community.
- Reaching out to women within and beyond CBC, meeting spiritual, physical, and emotional needs.
- Enabling, equipping, and encouraging women to encounter, embrace and exercise their spiritual gifts.
- Providing resources, training and opportunity to serve the Lord.
- Being accountable by regularly evaluating our ministries and their progress.
Mission & Values
We exist to fulfill the feminine side of the church’s mission to represent the reign of God as community, servant, and messenger.
Because we value God, we pray, sing, worship, and exalt His name together.
Because we value God’s Story, we offer Bible studies for women of every age and stage of life to deepen our walk with the Lord, build strong relationships with sisters in Christ, and learn together how to live out God’s Truth.
Because we value God’s People, we . . .
- Offer a variety of special events designed to delight and challenge women as we laugh and learn together while getting to know God, ourselves, and each other a little better.
- Promote the Titus 2:3-5 principle of older and younger women making a spiritual and practical impact on each other’s lives by learning, listening, praying, helping,
serving, and modeling a godly life style. - Offer occasional courses to equip women to serve the Lord with their spiritual gifts and to deepen their understanding of God’s Word and His world.
Because we value God’s World, we desire to develop . . .
- A lay counseling team to address areas of discipleship, support groups, life skills, or access to professional help.
- An outreach to women in need to show God’s love in tangible ways.
- Our ability to share God’s story with joy and freedom.
We Believe . . .
That women’s ministry within the church should be based on the Truth of God’s Word, therefore we believe women are . . .
- Created by God as image bearers. (Genesis 1:26-28)
- Designed by God to be helpers, patterned after God Himself. (Genesis 2:18-25)
- To submit to and respect their own husbands as unto the Lord. (Ephesians 5:22-24, 33; I Peter 3:1)
- To live reverently and modestly and teach sound doctrine and practical skills to younger women. (I Timothy 2:9-15; Titus 2:3-5)
- To care for their homes, families, and those in need. (I Timothy 5:3-16; Titus 2:3-5)
- To be resourceful, industrious, discerning, joyful, wise, and confident. (Proverbs 31)
- To have a gentle and quiet spirit which is precious in God’s sight. (I Peter 3:1-6)
